SCIENCE: Science Fair Results announced: Monday, March 1, 2010 in auditorium: all students attended PJAS at SRU and performed admirably! all received first(14) or second place(7). Gabby Houston received perfect score; our first!! as well as a special commendation and $100 award in Chemistry and Biochemistry! Comments on judging sheets were complimentary to all. Our wonderful parents chaperoned and attended in force. First Place Winners attend Penn State in May - 3rd week, May 16-18. Penn State room mates must be selected by Fri - March 5 and mailed in on form by March 10 -- next Wed!! Registration of attendees due by March 19, 2010 - remember cost ~ $ 115- Money due by April 2, 2010. We are back on schedule: in class- green life science book:-chapter 5: students should be rereading it to refresh their memories. Homework - vocabulary handouts p 283-4 - use books to answer questions - due Tuesday 3/2/2010. Lab on autosomal traits - will create classroom data chart/graph on Tuesday/ Wednesday. Grades on line in rvs. Wednesday - collect homework - genetic engineering pp281-2, complete graph in computer lab. Discuss math connection handout 286-7: % of a whole. complete both pages - due Thursday. Thursday- Lecture discussing human inherited traits, meiosis. Chart detailing meiosis with pictures and all steps to process due Friday. Test next week on chapter 5.
